Sandro Oliverio: Born in Montreal, Canada to Italian Parents From Calabria, Italy
As a young boy Sandro spent most summers in Italy with his grandparents, cooking and learning about his heritage. Growing up he often travelled where Sandro was exposed to various regions delicacies from Sicilian’s escargot, cannoli’s, zabaglione to Naples where they are known for their fresh cheeses such as mozzarella & burrata. Rome is known for pancetta and makes different kinds of pasta like carbonara. Where Sandro was from in Calabria, they create lots of dried meat, cured meat like prosciutto.
